Combined movie showing the cooling of 20 mm hydrophilic (left side) and superhydrophobic (right side) steel sphere in 100 C water. The spheres initial temperature is about Ts = 380 C. The explosive transition for the hydrophobic sphere at about Ts = 220 C and the superhydrophobic cools to pool temperature without transition from Leidenfrost regime.
